[DIY] Shoe Hangers

The inner Imelda Marcos in us thinks there's nothing worse than looking at a big mountain pile of your dearly loved footwear. I think I'll be the first woman to admit that I have so many shoes! At times, it gets crazy and looking for a pair can be such a chore.

So it is with so much joy to have found a cute and super easy project that will keep our precious shoes organized together. It will also help preserve the shape and the life of your shoes as it won't get crushed and it allows for regular airflow.

What you'll need :

  • Curtain Rod / Dowel / PVC Pipe / Any strong metal rod
  • Shelf Brackets
  • Thin Wire Hangers
  • Needle Nose Pliers

Optional:
Spray Paint
Ribbon
Fabric / Super Glue

Directions:

1. Mount the rod using shelf brackets and secure with small screws.

2. Cut the bottom of the hangers where the folds meet.

3. Using the pliers, roll up the 2 edges into a swirl and then bend the hanger into this shape.

4. You can opt to spray a fresh coat of paint on or decorate them by wrapping a nice patterned ribbon. 6-step instruction below.

5. Let them dry thoroughly before hanging your flip flops or flat shoes up. Et voila!
